Krasnodar Regional Public Organization for Social Support of Citizens "Armenian Charitable Society"
The first Armenian public organisation in Caucasus was the Armenian charitable association in Tiflis, which had a network of branches. The Articles of Association was established on June 6, 1881 b y the acting governor of the Caucasus, adjutant general duke Melikov in Tiflis. The goal of the society was “to assist in spreading enlightment among the Armenians in the Caucasian and Transcaucasian regions and provide them with material assistance.
The Krasnodar Regional Public Organisation for Social Support of Citizens "Armenian Charitable Association" was registered on January 22, 2018.
The main goal of the Organisation is to implement charitable activities aimed at: social support and protection of the citizens; assistance to establishments, which containing orphans, children, who left without parental care, children who are in difficult life situations; assistance to victims of disasters, catastrophes and conflicts; assistance in strengthening peace, friendship and cohesion among people, prevention of social, national, religious conflicts; assistance in educational area, science, culture, art, enlightenment, spiritual development of a person; assistance in the protection and proper maintenance of buildings, objects and territories of historical, religious, cultural or environmental significance, and burial sites; assistance in strengthening the prestige and role of the family in society; assistance in the development of scientific, technical, artistic creativity of children and youth; assistance to patriotic, spiritual and moral education of children and youth; support of socially significant youth initiatives, projects, children's and youth movement, children and youth organisations; assistance in voluntary activities, etc.
